West Michigan Gardens Network

There are a growing number of gardens sprouting up in West Michigan - both in back yards and in public spaces and the Greater Grand Rapids Food Systems Council began a number of years ago working to connect them and help with the sharing of resources and information as well as just plain encouragement. This is the goal of the network. Our efforts each year include our annual Garden Gathering Potluck and Seed/Plant Swap (see above), distribution of plant starts from area greenhouses and farms, and support through an email list which people can use to connect with one another. We would also like to explore the idea of a blog or other regular communication.

To Join the Network please contact wmgardens@gmail.com and ask to be put on the email list. If you would like to be a gardening resource, need help with a garden, have or need plants or seeds or other tools, please let us know as well.
