Site information

The garden was conceived, planned, organized, planted by folks at Sacred Suds, a Muskegon ministry to those with particular needs in the McLaughlin neighborhood. It was converted in the spring of 2006 from a vacant lot of weeds and trash.

“George” takes care of the garden daily. It is roughly 30x40 feet of vegetables, with a separate 6x12 feet plot of flowers and a tree.

The property is owned by the City of Muskegon, which has been “very supportive”. Water is supplied by City of Muskegon without charge, according to George.

The location of the garden is on the northeast corner Larch and Terrace at:
289 E. Larch Ave.
Muskegon, MI 49442
