This garden gots it start in 2004 with a small grant for a water hookup and some soil. It has been doing fairly well on its own since 2005.

There were six families involved in 2005, and most of them want to garden together. There are three individual plots available. There is also a children's garden.

A neighbor has agreed to a water hookup without charging the gardeners. However, Khrysta worries about what might happen if that neighbor moves out.

The availability is limited to those living on the 2100 and 2200 blocks of Francis Avenue, with a possibility of those a living a little further away.

The location of the garden is on either side of a path leading to Garfield Nature Park on city land from the sidewalk to the backlot lines of the adjacent houses.
